Commando Operation Free’s Capo on Martinique.
DECEMBER 10TH, 2016.
The following totally shatters the vaunted myth that the Caribbean is a tranquil, tourist haven. The ability of the local security forces are abysmally inadequate in light of, the resources, financially, logistically and “militarily”, that the various local and transnational (TNCO’s) in the Caribbean have at their disposal. The following case of the Uruguayan Capo, who was freed by members of his organization, operative in Martinique speaks volumes to the sophistication, training, financial wherewithal and level of infiltration that the various narco cartels have achieved in the Caribbean context. Bear witness then to our reality!
A Commando-style operation in neighbouring Martinique has resulted in the escape of a national of Uruguay who was convicted of international drug trafficking.
The dramatic escape of sixty-year-old Walter Perez Caruso occurred on December 8, 2016, according to news reports.
Caruso was transferred from the Ducos prison where he was being detained to a hospital in Martinique to be treated when three heavily armed men with masks are reported to have stormed the facility at about 9: am.
The Drug Boss was being guarded by three unarmed officers, French media said.
According to information, the masked gunmen attempted to kill the unarmed guards but Caruso ordered them not to.
The men all escaped on scooters.
French law enforcement has been mobilized in an attempt to recapture the escapees.
An alert been issued inviting persons to come forward with information about the men.
It is reported that the three masked gunmen who helped the Drug Boss escape had strong ‘Hispanic’ accents.
Only organized crime could organize such an operation. The demonstrated impotence of the local security and intelligence apparatus in the face of the vastly superior resources of the cartels is a potent indicator, of the dire straits the region is in at present. The lies being touted in the corporate media locally, is proof that the present governance model is a total failure and the dependence on tourism as a sustainable economic model is doomed to fail, given the realities on the ground regionally along with the geopolitical realities of the day, i.e. global and transnational terrorism, the ever-evolving global political landscape such as the rise of Trumpism and the so-called Dutch Trump Geert Wilders et al. The Caribbean basin’s leaders will have to enact a sustainable regional Caribbean-centric model for governance, or risk the demise of the regions populace. Their time is running out.
