The Black Consciousness Movement in Hip Hop.
This man more than anyone else shaped the ideology and philososphy of the entire movement in the past and extant in the US, called Black Consciousness. His teachings on "UFO's" are echoed today, by the likes of Malachi York, and Louis Farrakhan. Black Consciousness is a spiritual practise steeped in Shamanism and mysticism. Elijah Muhammad is still woeshipped today by the Nation of Islam as God incarnate. The Rastafari and the NOI are ideologically twins in their adaptation of what is an ancient African Shamanic value system. This system however seemingly noble is what the bible call sorcery and witchcraft. Louis Farrakhan is seen today by Muslims as a virtual messiah, and he openly claims to be Jesus and Muhammad the "Father".
Louis Farrakhan the present leader of the NOI who is a balmy UFO buff, he claims to have frequent contact with UFO's. The actual teaching of the NOI is quite ridiculous to say the least. If Louis Farrakhan is to be belived he is a messiah, whose god is a deceased Elijah Muhammad, Fard the halfcaste difficult to place ethnically, founder of the NOI, and teacher of Elijah is also deified. Farrakhan and his friend Ghaddafi.
Gaddafi the would be financier of the NOI. |
GHADDAFI''S FEMALE GUARDS: SWORN TO PROTECT. The obviously touched Ghaddafi does have a flait for the flamboyant. |
Fard Muhammad god of the NOI. |
The NOI does not adhere to Quranic teaching. |
Let us journey into Hip Hop and see more evidence of the Elijah and Farrakhan influence on the culture.
Public enemy the Hip Hop group which openl spouted NOI rethoric. Public enemy was one of the pioneer groups of the Black Consciousness genre.
The look of the FOI, undeniably echoed by PE.
Who can deny the direct NOI and Fruit of Islam influence in the HipHop group Public Enemy.
X Clan. |
The Egyptian Key of Life also called the Ankh was featured nprominently in all X Clan music video's and was allways present on their persons.
The man who can be called the intellectual catalyst of Hip Hop politics is Malcolm X.
Allthough X later severed his ties to the NOI, he maintained his Black Nationalist stance and converted to Orthodox Islam. In later years Malcolm X eswpoused socialist humanist ideal. He began to championuniversal human rights. He began to focus his efforts increasingly on advancing the cause of the Diaspora African in the UN.Many in HipHop only identify with the Malcolm X of the Black Muslim era.
Malcolm X was an ardent proponent of social rebellion is his earliest years . The rebellious aspect of the earliest views espoused by Malcolm is what attracted many in Hip-Hop.The actual political issues put forward by X were by and large to weighty to be handled in a few lyrics. The attempt by the so called conscious rappers to spark an interest in their fellow black brethren at that time was met. With marginal success . Today the Black Consciousness movement is in Hip Hop is no more . Hip Hop has given way to Gangster Rap. and Gangster Rap is mainstream culture.
The praying Malcolm is never portrayed in Hip Hop music. Only the spirit of rebellion is embraced by the so called conscious movement. Even the conscious intelligensia, in academia they only embraced the rebellious spirit of the man, never the side that sought to reconcile, his material life with a balanced God centered lifestyle.
When God is referred to herein I speak of the God of the bible not an abstract it or an impersonal unreachable, unknowable it.
I will now delve into the present manifestation of Shamanic culture in Hip Hop today the [resent Hip Hop icon and chief occultic dabbler is Jay Z. Allthough Iam aware of the conspiracy and Illuminati theorists, in the Blogosphere this blog is in no way a part of that ilk. This Blog is mainly a vehicle to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ unto salvation.
Another as pect of Malcolm little known is this side of him the ardent scholar, and Afrocentrist. Malcolm was a highly intelligent ad talented man claiming him for one group of people in the Diaspora would not do his legacy justice. He went on to transcend hiw own inadequacies in doing so he left the greatest legacy anyone possibly could, and that was self betterment and service to humanity. Not the deluded misguided nepotism of the Hip Hop community.
