Global Culture as Shamanism VS Apostolic Culture .Shamanism in popular Music Culture.

The incidence of Shamanism in popular culture is both astounding and widespread. The Shamanic element in Hip-Hop was apparent from its inception.I will delve into some of the earliest Hip-Hop pioneers , their worldview and politics. The spirituality that Hip-Hop incorporates from its inception was Shamanic. Africa Bambaataa was one of the earliest pioneers in Hip-Hop, the Shamanic is obvious throughout his material, one of his primary influences is Malachi Z York, founder of the Nuwaubian Nation. The recent trend called gangsta rap is at best a watered down commercialized aspect of a culture that at its core is rebellious.Another crucial founding father of Hip-Hop culture is Kool Herc.

The practise of outdoor parties with multiple bass speakers and a DJ spinning records as the main attraction was imported from Jamaica Kool Herc is credited with introducing this aspect of Jamaican culture into his neighborhood . Soon the heavy base and the DJ became central to Hip Hop that aspect of trhe culture was shaped by Herc but Hip Hop was not founded by any one person word poetry is an integral pert of the African culture it was allways with the African and his descendants, even those in the Diaspora. African shamanism which gave birth to many forms of Shamanic practise globally is openly touted and lauded today by academia . The premise of this article, is that Shamanism no matter it's origins is witchcraft and it is eschewed and condemned in scripture. No distinction is made between white magic and Black magic both are evil according to the biblical admonition.

Most of the New York rappers are influenced, by the Black Consciousness movement, which is very powerful in the Bronx, and throughout the seven boroughs.The premise of this blog though is that, Hip Hop is not only a music genre but it is an actual veheicle to promote occultism, and as such it should be exposed and condemned as such, by Christian writers.

For many years so called Christians have been using Hip Hop as a vehicle to promote the "Gospel", how can you promote righteousness using as a vehicle an esoteric culture?. Shamanism is diametrically opposed to the Gospel, there is no such thing as Gospel Rap or Christian Hip Hop. The foundations of Hip Hop culture is the very culture that the bible opposes and calls, Baal worship.
